ucked away on the north east side of the island is the wonderfully authentic chiringuito El Bigotes. Set on the northern tip of Cala Mastella beach this hidden gem has one of the best views over looking the emerald green waters of this secluded bay.
The restaurant serves one dish, Bullit de Peix (fish cooked in saffron with potatoes) and rice cooked in the fish broth, one dish but so perfected you can be pushed to get a table. Of course, they have no phone so you have to book in person or rock up and pray there is a space. It’s the true bohemian spirit of Ibiza, with chilled vibes, friendly service and no airs or graces or VIP areas.
They are famous for turning away the King of Spain as he didn’t have a reservation and the restaurant was full.
