Having experienced the White Isle in all of its glory, it is pretty safe to say you would be living the dream job by becoming a resident DJ in Ibiza. Well now, you can see exactly what it is like to live the life of an Ibiza Resident DJ and the importance of what is involved with this culture within a new three part film series showcased by the world’s biggest DJ competition, BURN Residency.
Uniting together 26 enthusiastic and aspiring DJs from around the globe, they all come together to learn, share and perform as one in the party capital of Ibiza. With a presentation of challenges, workshops and high-profile led master classes, the 26 lucky DJs are offered the opportunity of a lifetime.
The three DJs that make a long lasting impression will be selected for a summer-long residency in Ibiza and the winner will a financial prize reward of €100K in the form of a grant and constant support from BURN to help further establish their career as a DJ.
The opening film will feature Space Ibiza favourite, Carl Cox, and illustrate the story of his past 15 years at the world’s most famous super-club and how his music has defined a generation of ravers, what has made him a cultural institution and how he has made a forever changing impact on the world of dance music and the clubbing scene forever.
Titled “The Creator”, this short film details Carl’s first experiences on the island, becoming a global superstar DJ and his final season as a resident at Space Ibiza – this will be released in July/August 2016.
