Voting for the 19th Edition DJ Awards originally got underway back in June. Electronic music fans from all over the world have been busy clicking away online in support of their favourite musical talents behind the decks and in support of those who they feel deserve the awards the most.
With a rapid increase in numbers in comparison to recent years, electronic music fans have been voting for artists across 12 different categories – Bass, Big Room House, Breakthrough, Deep House, Electronica, International DJ, Newcomer, Techno, Tech House and Trance. There has also been two new categories added to this year’s awards ceremony in the forms of both Electronic Live Performer and House.
It’s not been an easy selection for voters either. With a grand total of 111 nominees consisting of industry icons and the rising talent of today, the votes for this year’s ceremony is expected to be closer than ever before.
Now the home stretch is in sight and there are only two weeks of voting remaining, the opportunity to cast your final vote has arisen and needs to be completed before Sunday 7th August.
Of course, the DJ Awards will take place at its traditional home of Pacha Ibiza in Ibiza Town on Monday 3rd October where the winners will be revealed and presented with the prestigious Kryptonite award which has been designed around the famous spiritual rock in Ibiza – Es Vedra.
There will also be 10 Special Industry Awards presented including International Festival, Dance Nation Of The Year, Electronic Music Pioneer, Ibiza DJ and Track Of The Season.
With this year’s theme being “Let’s Dance”, we welcome the following with open arms: “Life may not always be the party we hoped for, but while we’re here let’s dance!”
